I've been wanting to get my tongue split for a while now and have researched all the pros and cons. I found a platic surgeon in the dallas/ftw area who will perform the procedure for about 1000-1500..So my question is how much does getting your tongue split usually cost..? I know every piercer will charge a different anount..

I am new to the group, and I live in NY on Long Island. I am interested in getting an Amperlan (I think that is how it is spelled), and I would like to get some subdermal implants on my penis. Nothing crazy, just some small BBs. If any one has any ideas, suggestions, or shops I should check out I would apreciate it.

I have second generation forehead (horn) subdermal implants. I met up with Steve Haworth at Hell City last year and arranged to have them done by him. A little while later, I had them done. What he does is make an incision past the hairline, and inserts lifters to seperate the skin from the subcutaneous layer, slides the beads into place, a few sutures and it's done. The first few days, he was correct in his telling me 'It will feel like an elephant is standing on your forehead'. The healing was VERY smooth and I have never had a problem with them. After the initial swelling went down, I found that mine were barely noticable. Unless I bumped them on something of course haha. But you eventually just get used to them. And you have to expect a LOT of attention from them, and get used to answering questions. Subdermals are something to definitely take a lot of time considering before making the decision to get.

Okay, so I am covered in piercings (14 but More to follow in the next month or so) but still relatively new to stretching. I am sticking with tapers and cocoa butter for now. I have a 6g and 8g in each ear right now... Measly, but it makes me smile! Eventually I think I will go to a 00g on the larger one and a 2g or 4g on the middle one. As far as stretching anything else... We will see! LOL

I wanted more info on implants like implanting under the skin of my hands ( underside) and getting horns. I am in chcago and wanted recommendations of people that are good at implanting. I also wanted to know about corsets-both side and back and how to maintain them..mail me or post back.

i got my septum dermal punched at a 4g and streched to a 00. it was alot to deal with due to my allergies, and it seemed that every strech made my allergies flair up and get icky. i took it out after getting hit in the nose(at 00) and riping it.

its currently empty and sitting forever at a 4g.

i might strech again someday.

first off.. probably not a good idea to stretch right to a 4g from nothing.. and second you need to be able to leave in the jewelry in order for it to heal..

Are there any complications besides the obvious higher risk of urinary tract infections. I have only seen them done with penningtons, recieving tubes and 90' needles. Does any one have any other suggestions or comments ?

couldn't put them all the way in for a couple of days because of them being 26mm, and double flared.. but now they fit, and they are beautiful, and my ears feel so much better! yay

Mine look amazing, by the way! I like them better than the ones pictured.....

well my septum seems like it's all ready for a brand new stretching. lol

i don't even know if i want to go to a 6ga or not.. because even at this size, it's already started to affect the shape of my nose..

but it'd be fun.

yeah, i usually do wear o-rings.

but i haven't had the random crusties for awhile now.

i can finally take out my plugs when i go to sleep, and i use cocoa butter on them frequently.

thanks for the tips though

Yeah, O-rings (if you aren't using sylicone ones) can cause your ears to act up. Try some double flared jewerly or something that doesn't require o-rings out, and see if it changes any.

so i just gauged it to an 8ga like two days ago.. and man is it sore lol

it was fine all except the bruised like feeling..

and then today.. it was kinda infected.. i washed it a few times today already.. and it feels a lot better once i wash it.. but then a couple hours later.. it's nasty again.

and it's nothing really bad..it just kinda sucks that i still can't enjoy my new gauge yet.. :(

It's probably just a build-up of dead skin cells, oils secreted from your body, etc.

Or, since you said you're using acrylic, it could be some kind of reaction to that?...

douchebagdeli

Electrical tape for stretching?..

icky!

PTFE/plumbers tape for the win!

zyelia, one thing you may want to look into is to stop using acrylic jewelry.

Unless you have dental acrylic, the material will begin breaking down at body temperature, and release toxins into your skinnnnn!!!!

AAAHHHH!!!!

youknowwhat4q that sucks about your septum! They sure can close quickly, i found that when i took my 2g out and let it shrink, it was so small within a day, i couldnt belive it. I hope you can get back up in size again soon, its kinda a bitch stretching the septum, do you have tapers? they really make it alot easier to stretch with.
Good Luck

Hahahah ya the size thing is a real bitch! I keep looking at my ears now thinking they are so dammn small. I have to start stretching again soon or it will drive me crazy. I plan to stop for at least a year or so when i hit 2" but really who knows where i will stop,as i probally will get hit by the bug again and start stretching.

yeah.. i haven't seen any good come from using silicone plugs. actually, i've only seen nastyness come from them.

right now i'm going back and forth from acryllic to bone, and my lobes are doing great!

*on a side note*

does anyone else seem to notice that once you get to a certain size, it looks so much smaller than what it was before you had it?

like now that i have the inches in, they seem so small.

and like two weeks before they were an impossible goal.

i guess it goes to show that nothing is impossible. :)

I had mine to 0g for awhile, then went down to 2g, and now am down to 10g as i got tired of the big jewelry as i get horrable alergies and am always blowing my nose and sneezing. I sure didnt care much for stretching the septum. I pierced it at 14g and stretched to 2g in 3 weeks, i made my own in between sized jewelry on my lathe, and that made stretching so much easier.

Hi everyone, sorry i havent been around much, life has been crazy. Im glad to see messages being posted in this group. Something to note that not everyone does well with Silicone. I have a pair of Kaos 1 3/4" ones and have done well with them, yet when i put a one in my septum, it didnt like it at all and stuck to my flesh, making for alot of blood and problems during removal.

If you get any silicone, wash the hell out of it, use soap and make sure you get all the release compound off it, as that is the cause of alot of people reacting to them.

Take care.
Ken

yeah, i'd say there's just about a 1/2" of skin between the two holes.. and i only need to go about another maybe 1/8".. it's either i'm gonna do that.. or i'm gonna talk to my piercer and see if tapering it would be best.. i trust him enough.

awesome! Keep in mind that you will need a decent amount of space between the two. I had my second lobe piercings stretched up to 1/2" but had to take them out.

The tissue began to tear between the two after the last stretch, and I think it was because they were too close and there was not enough blood circulation in the area.

As long as you go to a good piercer, then they should be able to help you know what will work out best.
