I ask a 60$ (50euro) deposit, if they don't show up, I'll call them and tell them that if they want to reschedule it'll cost them half of the deposit extra (so they lose 50% of the deposit). If they don't want a new appointment I'm just keeping the money |

My dad had a major problem with no shows for a while...He started taking a $50 deposit for the appt, and then 1 week prior to appt he would call cust, if they did not answer or respond to him by the next day, then he would cancel their appt and make another with someone else for that time slot. If the appt was for the same week, then he required a 150 deposit either by cash or a hold placed on their credit card. If they no showed he would turn the hold into a charge. He had a form that explained this policy to his customers and they had to sign it when they paid the deposit and made appt. It created a little more paperwork and organization, but it reduced his no shows by about 6 out of 10. |
