Hello All,

Does your tattoo give people a chuckle and deserves 15 minutes of fame?

I'm looking for funny-ha-ha and funny-strange tattoos to be featured in "Inked: A Collection of Clever, Witty & Amazing Tattoos" This feel-good book will be out in stores this fall.

Artists/Photographers/Models will be credited and will receive a free copy of the book!

I need images are by April 20, so please contact me asap if you want in! I will then give you more info about our publishing company (so you know I'm legit), how to send images, etc.

If you want more info, have any questions or concerns, etc. please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you!

When it is completely healed is best ( that includes waiting for the silver skin to go as well) but you can take a good shot at any time. If it's just finished give it a good clean and make sure there is no grease or oil of any discription left on it.
To take a shot this is the best way on both fresh and healed tattoos to get the best results, where poss get the person to stand with the piece of work to be photographed as flat and straight on to you as poss, then get yourself into a position where you ARE looking straight on at it, ideally if your camera allows so your abot 4 to 6 feet away.
If when you take the shot you get some reflection then place a piece of tracing paper over the front of the flash, this will break the power of the flash down and give you a softer light................good sgooting.

Try taking the photo at a slight angel. When you're straight onto it, the light/falsh bounces off it and right back into the lens. If you're on an angel, it will not glare as much. Or, if you can, use and off camera flash.

I just bought a new Olympus digital camera. There is settings to adjust the amount of light the built in flash produces. I hope that it helps in not getting a glare on a fresh tattoo. Healed is better but sometimes you dont know when you will see the customer again. did alot of reading in the manual and adjusting the iso seems to help with the glare also I have a manual adjustment for White balance and that has presets for flourescents, a "natural" light bulb, outside cloudy or light. That should be good to play with too. Any help on getting good tattoo pics will be so helpful here. I do know that healed and/or outdoor with the sun behind you (the photographer) is best.

I try to get one fresh and one healed. This way I can make a comparison as to how it healed. But if I have to make a choice, healed.
