Hey i started my pagan journey as a child whose questions either couldn't or wouldn't be answered by my preacher. i even got kicked out of 2 seperate churches for asking too many questions. it wasn't until about 7 years ago when i met my husband that i finally understood why they couldnt explain to me the bible. It is a book of lies written by man not GOD. plus there are not just one god but many. I have found that all of Silver RavenWolf's books are very knowledgeable for beginners to experts. she explains everything and gives you almosst a course through her books. i have learned a great deal from her. hope this helps. also there are these pretty thick books cant think of the author , but they are called encyclopedias (not actual ones) but like i have the encyclopedia of 5,ooo spells. AWSOME for spell work. has everything.

I guess I wouldn't consider myself Wiccan, as I really follow no structured anything, but I have been pagan for a long time and basically believe in celebrating the duality of all things in nature and life. I am really a nature lover and I also work with flowers and plants on a regular basis as I am a florist. I just started seeking out information on this way of life and I am really drawn to "Stregheria" (sort of an Italian Folk Religion)and find that certain parts of it are already present in my life through which herbs/plants i choose to keep around myself (although it may be cultural as many of these have been used in my family for years and years) Any suggestions as to how to keep in touch with nature when living in a big city?

MM to all. I am glad to have found a place to share common interests. Being from the South and admitting you follow Paganism garners strange, if not frightened responses. I do not feel rejected, rather, not respected for my right to worship as I choose. It will be nice to know my words here will not be taken as profane or threatening.

Blessed be,

Tracy

It is sad you have felt the need to slander somone Poonanie. I hope you remember the law of 3. You know not me and are only repeating lies my ex told you.

I only speak truths in my life. My ex'es counselor said "I spoke the truth and then some" and he coulnd'nt take that. I have worked hard of letting go of my ex's deceits. When there are children involved that will get hurt I will always intervene. I was a teacher for 14 years and know what parental lies will shed in a childs life. Speak what you may of me Poonanie but I speak only and ever the truth but you have been misled as many a woman dealing with him. A coward uses slander and believe me if ever there was a passive aggressive male he is it. Whatever has spoken by me is truth.

Thanks for the warm welcome Aurora! Pleased to "meet" you.

it's amazing how when you find a spiritual path that feels right, things in your life seem to "right themselves". at least that is how it was for me once I started studying and practicing.

I'm really thrilled to have found this group and this website. Everyone so far seems very welcoming and friendly.

Hey, I'm Mari-Anne from Staten Island. I've been practicing Wicca for 10 years now and specifically Minoan Wicca (descendants of Gardnerian Wicca from NYC) for 9 of those. I attend the Starwood festival in western NY state every year with our community and our group is non-profit and tax exempt and hopes to buy land in the near future.

I have virgin skin, but am hoping to get my first ink at age 40 later this summer. I've wanted to do it for years, but didn't know what to get at first and then was wimpy about the pain issue. But I'm ready now. It's going to be a piece depicting the symbolic Great Rite with some other meaningfully relevant symbols in it as well.

anyway, I'm glad to see this year and hope to see other people's work they've had done.

I thought I'd just post this "chit-chat" thread where we could just meet up and talk about everything and nothing. Think of it as a sort of coffee shop where we can come in and hang out.

OK...so I'll start by a quick intro. My name is Panini and I am married with four beautiful kids. My ex is a crazy, over-the-top, fundamental, born-again Christian who is convinced I'm going to hell and that I'm dragging the kids down with me. My new tattoos don't help that any either....LOL

Anyone else around? Or am I just talking to air here?

*Peace*

Short-term memory problem....I can't recall your other questions.....LOL.....but I'm interested in dialogue.

Just figured I'd introduce myself. I've been practicing since I was 8 (largely intuitive at that point) and finally came out of the closet about 3 years ago. I'm root-British Isles hedge witchcraft, but if it works, I'm more than willing to give it a try.

I'm also a firm believer in Fakir Musafar's philosophy "if you want to get closer to [the gods], get pierced." Hence what started me down the mod path, and now I've gotten so tangled up in it I can't even imagine not planning the next one, the symbolism, etc.

WITCH I have been a practicing witch for 16 yrs now I pretty much practice alone as I moved to VA to meet other of like mind (not the soul reason I moved) but I have met others like me and I just feel being by myself to practice is a much better choice.
OTHER PART OF MY LIFE well I am ingaged to a wonderful man/tattooist that works at Blue Horseshoe tattoo in Va Bch VA, We have 6 Presa Canarios that I train, work, show and love to death.
I am a Massage therapist for people & pets and a Veterinarian Tech. (nurse)

Lot of good information .....Information is what it is . Take what you can use tp produce actaual results and shit-can the rest .... I agree with Crowley in that respect . Ans whether people acknowledge it or not , Gerald Garner was a student of Crowley's for some time learning Hermetic Mysticism and the techniques of the Golden Dawn , ans was an initiate of Crowley's himself into the order . But Left and formed what later became known as The Gardnerian Tradition of Witchcraft . He also added alot of stuff he got from George Pickingill of course . But by whatever means it was established and however the spelling was rearranged to fit circumstance . The Anxcient mysteries were kept alive and given a new vehicle of life and expression ........The Mystery is whats important ......So who gives a fuck about Raymond Buckland ....Bless his little Hearet .....Blane

We took advantage of it by being joined by a blood ritual as is done in his beliefs.
It was gorgeous, and memerable because I got pregnant that night,Just didn't carry the baby

Hi,

I'm Pixi. I'm 20, and have been studying the craft for seven years now. I work a lot within the Celtic tradition (unsurprising perhaps, seeing as I'm Welsh) but I am ecclectic over all. I am interested in herbs, and their magickal and medicinal properties.

I am Pagan, not Wiccan. I don't subscribe to the Wiccan Rede, or the Law of Three. If you want to know more about my beliefs, or why I don't believe in certain Wiccan 'laws' you can check out my site; http://psychopixi.com.

My site is an online book of shadows, so feel free to browse it, and print off anything you want for your own books. :)

Nice to be here!
