great to see a family man!
i dont know if you have already had your brand done or not but hell its an awesome experience. i've had my brand now for 3 weeks and it looks like it has scared well. its on the back of my neck (yup the tender spot) its three circles representing life; death and rebirth its part of a greater scheme. tattoo to be added. its good to have thought behind body mods cos it then makes it all the more realistic.
njoy

Myself and one of the artists I work with have been trying out skin etching for a bit and I was wondering If anyone had any suggestions on the procedure or aftercare. Sofar all we have tried is 3 lines in between the nuckles of each hand to make it look like wolverenes scars. They turned out cool Im just wondering how to make them better and make sure that they will last a while.

Personally I would advise against this....Because I know if I was offering scarification for money, personally I wouldn't openly state on the phone: "Yeah we do scarification! C'mon in! Let us carve/brand ya up! YEEEEHAW!"

With scarification it requires a good steady hand of a knowledgeable artist....Sadly far too many "ignorants' are jumping into the game thinking they can recreate amazing pieces and all they end up doing is severely fucking someone up.

I see MANY scarification pieces daily from the forums I'm open to and via other researching, etc and let me just say really give it thought and research...Don't just call up any shop and go check em out.

Most quality artists are easily found on the internet...If you think they are too far away, why not perhaps organize a vacation/trip around getting the piece you want done.

I know the obviousit hurts like hell, but those people who have them. Do you like them now that you've had them for awhile?
I mean I think I have a great concept, and if the first goes well I want to get fore done. The first one I want to get ina solid circle tattooed on my wrist. With a V branded at the center with an lidless eye at the center of the V this ofcourse would be part of the brand. If it turns out to be a positive experience for me i would like to do the same on my other wrist with a sham4rock brand on the solid circle again.
If by then I have worked out all my research and the medical implications I want to brand a short line at the center of my eyebrow and on my cheek, like a fabricated battle scar. Please tell me about your experiences and how you handled after care

We are an elite custom shop in an upstairs loft style studio in the heart of downtown toronto, ontario. Our shop strives to provide a professional and tranquil atmosphere to our clients. Our shop offers seperate private booths, a seperate inclosed sterlization room, a classy decor with beautifully framed art complimenting the walls and attitude free staff members. All tattoo work is done custom. We do not carry flash. Piercings are performed using top of the line internally threaded jewellry. Both our piercers are very proactive minded and are constantly working with the community to improve the standards of the industry as a whole and would like somebody likeminded. We need a part time piercer to start like tomorrow! (male is preferred) at first you will have 2-3 shifts per week but could move to full time in the near future to cover a maternity leave. An exceptional portfolio is a must. Should be comfortable piercing freehand and performing surface piercings punch and taper. Exp with scalpeling and other forms of exteme mods a plus. Pay is cash every day. highest fee's in the city!
contact jayme or tom brazda @ 416-594-1594 or respond via email sweet_lil_needle@yahoo.ca to set up an interview asap!

>I have a question what do you do when you brand >some one what ie the procedured for it and does it >hurt real bad

there is a couple different type of procedural tools, depending on how the artist wants to go about doing the brand.

There's the old "traditional" way of using a heat source(ie: blow torch) and ideally an autoclaveable stainless steel taper/nail/wire piece. It's called "Strike Branding"

There are other medical based tools that are used, kind of like a pen design.

All in all...when you break it all down...Branding is basically the burning of flesh to create a scar.

However there are a number of things that are ideally required to do what is considered a truly "clean" procedure. The key thing is to have a great ventilation environment. Also proper masks because when you brand the skin you explode carbon human particals into the air, which you breath if you don't have the proper mask. Smoke Evacuators are also ideal, same with Hepafilters, etc.

I self branded and i will tell u that it does hurt but u have to also think u burn through ur nerv endings and they seal off. but branding is alot more personal then a tat i did it to show my self my pain of my dad passing away if u can understand that.
