i have a boxer ive had since she was 4 never had a problem, she's 11 now and slowing down the other day she had a seizure not seen her have one b4 and not sure that it was eplepsy! but what i do know you going to need is plenty of money or be able to seek advice on alternertive medicine's or even just a better natural diet for your otherwise healthy animal its not the end of the world decide whats best for you good luck

I just found out that my 10 month old boxer has epilepsy he got over heated about a month ago i thought but last night he had another seizure i talk to the vet and he said he had epilepsy for now he is not on medicine but if he has another siezure wiyhin a month he is going to be put no medicine for the rest of his life. It is the scariest thing to see your dog in a full blown seizure and not be able to help, anyone else have a boxer with Epilepsy please let me know about your boxer,so i know what is to come |

I miss my Buggy this morning. He was all sad and didn't want to play in the back yard before I left for work. I think he was just tired but I felt bad leaving him. I would much rather be at home with him right now. I guess this gives me an excuse to stop at the pet store and buy him some new treats. |

My boxer is allergic to yellow jacket bites/stings. His whole head swells to about twice its normal size, its pretty scarry. We just make sure we have benadryl on hand. |

Jackson Brown is my big 90 lb baby. We call him Jax for short, or Buggy is his nickname.
He is the greatest dog i have ever met! He is actually my second boxer. This is the only breed of dog I will ever own. |

yeha i know what you mean, my dog gets seasonal allergies and right after the first pollen fall he has to start taking medication that gets him a bit loopy. |

LOL... I'm always amazed at how many Boxer folks have a Boston Terrier, too... I'm one of those as well!
I'm loving all the pics... I never get sick of looking at adorable boxers. I just got involved with another boxer rescue again. I can't foster any more (my boys won't have it) but I like helping out where I can.
Anyway, my boys are all rescues and came with their names: Max, Clyde (he used to have a sister named Bonnie but they got separated before he came into rescue) and Champ.
In fact, the only boxer of my own that I got to name myself was my sweet Babboo, but she died of intestinal tumors two years ago. She was the only dog I ever had since puppyhood, and I still miss her deeply. She had such an innocence and loved life completely... boxers seem to love life more than any dog I've ever known. I've never seen any other dog get as excited (kidney bean anyone?) over the simplest and most basic things. I couldn't live without boxers! |
