I made the change to Kingpins "ONE" black from Talons and Triple black the Guys from Route 66 tattoos turned me on to it at the Dallas convention. and i love it! I mix right in the cap. A Large ink cap filled with distilled water and dip in the black 3 times and I'm good. |

I'm still new to doing portraits. I've been slingin for about 11 yrs now, and always enjoyed black&greys, but was always intimidated by portraits. This is my fourth one done 8-31-07. |

I know all you guys and gals into slingin portraits have your own wash system, distilled water or witch hazel, triple black or kuro sumi. Just wanted to let ya know Ive been working with a new pre-blened grey wash from "Silverback Ink". I get mine from King Pin Tattoo Supply. It comes in four gradients numbered one through four, the lowest being the lightest. Its a truly great mix, consistancy is perfect~! cant say a bad word about it, its that good! If you try it out I think youll be very impressed, its what I use now, and untill now Ive always mixed my own, 25 years experience, I dont take change lightly. Good luck! Dusty Donnay |
