Gotta check out Black Sheep looks wierd. Flight of the Living Dead is worth the Watch. I am not going to say much more then that because there has been mixed feelings on the movie and I really don't feel like debating it anymore. For the record I enjoyed it and as I said it is worth the watch.

cont..

6.Army of Darkness- I almost said Evil Dead 2, but for me I think Army of Darkness is the one I can really watch over and over, has all of Ash's great lines, and has that unmistakeable 90's feel to it, which is something I can't explain, but always puts me in a good mood..
7.Creepshow- Romero, Stephen king, Savini... do I need to say anymore???
8.Monster Squad- ok, so not exactly scary, but entertaining as hell.. featuring an original take on the classic universal monsters, a lot of funny moments, good plot, good make-up...
9. Nightmare on Elm St.- johnny depp getting eaten and then spit out by his bed has to be one of the most amazing scenes...
10.Confessions of a Serial Killer- gritty, dark 80's b-movie, based on the crime's of Henry Lee Lucas.. not many have seen it... but I enjoy it..

so that's mine... next??

no particular order really... well just what comes to mind first... not even of all time, just my opinion...

1.Jaws- i do consider this horror, the suspense that's built in this movie is great, almost flawless movie in my opinion
2.Pet Semetary- once again, great suspense... this movie took me weeks to finish when i was little it scared me so much.. creed's first meeting with pascow can scare the shit out of you when you're trying to sleep and zelda's the creepiest shit ever
3. Silence of the Lambs- horror masterpiece, not just blood, guts, and senseless violence, really makes you think...
4.Day of the Dead- my personal favorite of the romero series and i'd like to think the peak.. the make-up surpasses dawn and even land in some ways if you asked me, as in land some of the zombie's even looked demonic instead of just like rotting corpses..
5.Dead Alive- fuck lord of the rings and king kong, this is Peter Jackson's definative masterpiece... comedy, horror, and gore seemlessly blended together..

A couple things:

1) The fact that Jason appears to be working out between trips to Hell for in each movie he is noticeably larger than he was in the previous installment.

2) Tommy Jarvis' sweet haircut in Part 4

3) When Jason punches the dudes head off in Part 8

Again being in the UK is a hindrance, it's being drip fed to us in a 2 film per boxset format, there's a few torrents out there but at a couple of hundred hours downloading I doubt they'd be any faster. So far I've seen Cigarette Burns and the Witch House (the latter was a helluva lot better than the comic too) but the one that looks most bizarre is Deer Woman, I desperately want to see that one.

Bram Stroker's Dracula rocked!!!
Warning Sign- old sci-fi flick about a contagion that got released in the lab. It made people crazy then it killed them.
28 Days Later Kicked Ass
My last selection comes from when I was a kid. The movie "Witch Board" scared the hell out of me. I had nightmares for weeks

I think modern horror has taken on a lame edge. Yeah you get a good one now and a again, but it is always hit or miss. For instance I watched " Silent Hill" the other night and I loved the movie/ hated the ending, but all in all i thought it was pretty cool. It gave you a slow build through an actual plot that went somewhere. The worst new horror movie I saw last was "Cabin Fever" Yes I waisted the cost of a movie on it and was severly confused by the hillbilly retardation of the film. Aonther one that pissed me off was Freddy Vs. Jason. Now I understand the purpose of the concept, but how old are we people. I remember being ten thinking how cool it would be to pit the two agaist each other in a movie. I stopped thinking it wou ld be cool short of puburty. Another one I thought was a pathetic waste of money was, " The Hills Have Eyes"
I think they took an excellent idea and turned into a stupid fest. Some of these movies might be scary if u r a kid, but come on. When was the last time u saw a reallllly scary movie? Tell me about it. I suggest a movie called " The Day After" it is about the aftermath of a nuclear war. I found it disturbing u might too.
