Sambets on 183 and McNeil for the best etoufee and boudain sandwich you'll ever have outside the Big Easy.
Korea House in the middle of the weird oriental mall next to the Alamo D.H. on Anderson. Get the spicy beef bulgolgi.
Tham Nak Thai in Cedar Park. People who lived in Thailand for years think this place is where it's at. Love their sweet and sour.

If you don't have the patience or the cash for a Trevino tat go with one of the other big talents in town like Chris Ellis from True Blue on Red River.

depends on your style, asian, id go with chris trevino from perfection tattoo on guadalupe, everyone in town large and small knows him since hes famous worldwide, will cost you arm and a leg. non - asian, id say jason brooks down on lamar, he worked with trevino ages back, both these guys have over 20 years of experience |

Just moved back to the area, I tend to have a good time at the Jackalope and Elysium. What makes Austin awesome? How about Death Proof/Planet Terror, shot on location, i took both flicks as love letters to Austin. |

Well I recommend Live Electric in downtown San Marcos but i'm more than a little biased(i tattoo there). Eastside i highly recommend Triple Crown. More central check out Shaman Modifications. There's a ton of good shops in the area, just check out a bunch, find a good artist who likes doing the style of work you want! |

since i made this group i feel obligated to start a topic, so im thinking we should all point out whats so interesting about austin and any cool places anyone likes to share.
ill start, best mexican restuarant in my opinion is manuel's, its somewhere on congress in downtown =p |
