Gotta be Steve Harris, not only for his spectular galloping assault, and amazing melodies, but also for his work as as a Lyricist and main musical composer...... |

Personaly.. I think Ibanez is one of the most underrated bass' out there. That's a damn nice collection.
You need to get one of the BTB 1200's. Those are REALLY nice. |

Hey guys, What's up? I'm new here so I just thought I'd say Hi! Been tattooing for 14 years. Been a bassist for 22 years now. I play for Society 1, an Industrial/Metal outfit from Los Angeles. I'm endorsed by B.C. Rich, used to have a deal with Silvertone, who were doing some cool things for a bit. Got a shit-ton of basses, though...my favorite is probably my 1974 Gibson Ripper, all original....
Just introducing myself, what's up with all of you guys?? |

alright, i want to capture my love of the bass guitar through some ink, but i DONT want just a typical plain clef. Im thinking some epic design with a clef as the focal point... any ideas??? please!! |

I agree, Alex Webster is the shit, hes the one who got me into death metal, and i have had the pleasure of seeing him live once, something i'll never forget.
Ben Marlin of Disgorge (US) is also an incredible bass player of his style with insane technicality, and inhuman endurance, its a wonder his left arm can even take that kind of punishment!
By far the most technically inclined bass player i've ever seen is Origin's bass player (Mike Flores), i've had the honor of playing with Origin, and they are just as amazing as a whole, as they are individually. |

Hi...
I barely qualify to be here *grin* since I'm just learning how to play, but I've loved the sound of a bass guitar for as long as I can remember. Started learning to play when I was 19, but got *uh* distracted... yeah, that's the best way to put it!
I only have one bass so far, but... things will change as soon as I can afford more. I bought a nice starter bass - a Washburn - not much, but to start out on, it works (and its purple, which thrills me to no end).
So, hi from a *gulp* newbie... :) |

I want to get a clef on either my left inner arm or left front shoulder (leaning more towards the antecubital space), but I don't want just a plain black clef.
I was thinking a black clef with color radiating around it, but I'm hoping for something a little more creative. |

Hi, just joined the group. My name is Dave and Im the bass player with Dublin band Celtic Legacy. Favourite bass players are Geezer Butler, Steve Harris, Geddy Lee and Phil Lynott. Best bass player in metal/rock at the moment i think is Jason Newsted or Steve Harris. Talk to you soon folks Dave. |

OliO Riedel-cuz he's simply the sickest. And, just like his fellow bandmates, he has no over-blown ego. Sick band, sick bassest.....I might throw Flea in there too, but OliO is sick. sick. sick.

I've been playing for abround 15 years now. Just getting to grips with the damn thing!
I play all kinds of music, although currently seem to be writing a lot of solo bass pieces, with chords and finger picking etc.
My current weapon of choice is a Jens Ritter Okon 6 stringer. I promised myself a nice bass when i qualified as a nurse, and managed to pick up an ebay bargain! Shame it's going through a crappy Carlsbro amp at the minute! Looking to upgrade soon though.
So if i don't end up alone on this group, don't be shy - come say hi! |
