just wondering if anyone out there got a chance to see this show? i caught it in waterbury, ct. awesome concert. kenny wayne shepherd took the house down - and did a double team with robert randolph - that was killer! buddy guy of course is always incredible - interestingly, didn't play any hendrix. guess cause he's a legend in his own right. |

i agree with all that have been mentioned - and stevie ray is great but, man, there are alot of unsung heroes out there....glad to see monte montgomery mentioned...saw this guy eddie turner, from canada, live at a blues fest and he was awesome. gotta tell ya though - eric johnson, live - wow! he's friggin amazing - are all great guitarists from texas? what's up with that? debbie davies is cool and excellent live. frank marino from mahogany rush. luther and bernard allison. |

I love Stevie Ray, and the blues by Jimmie Hendrix, RL Burnside, Son House, Lightning Hopkins,etc I am nuts for thumpy acoustic blues, like the tunes played by Ben Prestage. He is the bomb. I love Monte Montgomery, Doyle Dikes, and Tommy Emmanuel too...is that the blues? sure is good guitar playin'. |

My all time favorite is Stevie Ray Vaughan! Howlin Wolf is my favorite post war bluesman. Freddie & Albert King are my biggest influences on my own playing. My 2 favorite living players: Warren Haynes & Ronnie Earl. |

gday all hope everyones got over the new year ok! thought i would get some feedback on what bands you guys have been into over the year and what your fav band is at the moment.. seen any good live bands? any great tattooed band members? post some pics hope to hear some good ones catch you all real soon....... |
