Hey new student, well said. In the world of buddhism we should all be new students each day. The world of buddhism is always filled with questions, called koans, most with no answers. They are just for contemplation. But maybe I can help? I'm new to the site and just joined the group. I've studied eastern philisophy for many years and have always been intrigued. Find me at jltatzu.

I try to follow the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh & Order of Interbeing. but I am also a big fan of Brad Warner & his books "Hard Core Zen & "Sit Down & Shut Up" I find his irreverence & non-conformity very refreshing.

I study several different lineages but I don't know a whole lot about the more formal eastern traditions out of Tibet. I'm training and learning Shim Gum Do a Zen Martial Art from Korea.

My Buddhist practice consists of bowing and chanting the Homage and Heart Sutra 5 days a week. As for my practice I try to make my daily life my meditation and my practice, constantly working to be more present in the moment and remove my hindrances from being so.

G'luck with Ngondro if I recall correctly that's an intense practice I'm glad I'm not going through right now lol.

I'm getting Red Tara on my calf in february and plan on incorporating lots of buddhist iconography throughout the rest of the pieces I get.

I don't follow any set liniage, or formal dogmatic path. I have read much buy the Dalia Lama, and Tich Nat Hahn. My understanding of the dharma grows daily as I strive to see things as they really. Karma is seen in everyday life and the more good I do the better things seem to be for me. As my understanding grows I am sure I will reach enlightenment in this life if not then maybe the next, but at least then path has been found and is now traveled.
