Back in the Saddle |
I am presently working on about a dozen tattoo machines. That has not happened in a year. It seems the more I work on them, the more productive my time in front of the computer is. I bring what I learn to some tattoo forums, and the machine builder's forum is one of the gems of Inked Nation. We get along well there and avoid flame wars. There is talent there, which being sort of an elitist as far as being a builder and a member of some of the more L33T forums, is a pleasant surprise.
I am flattered and very greatful for the amount of support my old friends and my new friends in the machine business have given me, especially in light of my circumstances. I got out of the business for almost a year due to entirely personal reasons. Putting myself in a shitty spot in my personal life. I almost feel I do not deserve the support I have gotten but for one thing. I approach tattooing and machine building with complete integrity. I give as much, if not more than I take. I never do a shoddy job for a quick buck and I have never sold equipment to scratchers, tattoo shop license or not.
I just want to say thanks to Ernie Carafa, Seth Ciferri, Adam Sky, BluzTattooz, Mastodon, Ray Fennimore, the entire group at the Machine Builder's Guild and all of my loyal customers, especially Frankenstyle. They have all helped with supplies, advice, inspiration, patience and understanding. Especially Seth, who has been my friend when no-one else on the fucking computer understood that I was worth dealing with. |
