Studio Renovations April 14-19 |
After nearly three years in our present location, we decided it was time for an extreme makeover! This marks the first time we look at our space exclusively for our customers' comfort and throw out the layout we have been working with. Despite flooring and a custom work enclosure with a 7' glass wall, we need something more tailored to our work style and customer satisfaction.
Starting April 14, we will be closed for a week while we put in new tiles, remove inefficient fixtures and repartition the space. For a small studio, we have not been utilizing it efficiently at all - we will be going from 2 to 4 workstations AND adding a separate piercing station. I'm getting rid of a lot of my ecclectic and random collections of wierdness and concentrating on a much cleaner, professional presentation.
Our procedure room redesign includes lots of cabinet storage and roomier work areas, framed artwork and our own custom murals. New equipment like a massage chair and portable massage table will replace the motorized table and bulky equipment we have been working with. Clinically clean but accomodating -- this ain't the doctor's office but you better believe it's going to be more sanitary and sweeter looking than most of them!
We have never put flash on our walls (our work is all custom!) but Jenna and I will be featuring our own art on skin, canvas and paper, framed for your enjoyment. Our trophies will be more tastefully and prominently displayed and we finally get a photography section for better quality pics of our work. And my famous "Wall O' Weapons!" will move out of the back room and onto the waiting room wall for display.
All of this means a studio experience unlike any other in Central New Hampshire! We'll continue to be customer-focused and the new digs will hopefully make people more comfortable. No more half-wall between you and the staff when consulting! A new professional tattooing environment with room for guest artists -- we've waited far too long! And FINALLY some real retail space where you can purchase Rick's Tattoo shwag, Twisted Stitch clothing and accessories, and some major brand sick clothes and body jewelry.
Photos of the (completed) studio space will follow. We will be open to book appointments but any dust or construction will shut down the procedure area, so we'll book out the week of the 20th quickly!
Thanks to everyone that has supported us and here's to incredible things for the coming year -- we're fired up and can't wait for the New Hampshire convention!
And yes - we're keeping the Sally Wig...
