Studio Revamp Blues
Our studio is getting an Extreme Makeover. I'm shutting down the studio for a week (NEXT week) and I'm starting to get that funny feeling that all is not well...
No appointments booked... This week was perfect - almost busy, right before several major events, spring cleaning included in the project. Now we're starting to realize there might be a few snags.
The tile (black and white commercial squares) is the MOST EXPENSIVE TILE AT HO DEPOT! WTF?!! Throws the estimate way off and since it's the critical first step and we've been pulling the studio apart, I'm stuck in between. Ten minutes and a wrecking bar and we would have been in serious trouble. I can put things back but the project will be even more expensive if we wait.
Damned if we do, damned if we don't. I need more room for guest artists and the place could use a touch of class. We're in a different frame of mind since the convention and we need to step up our game. We're on the main route to Laconia and the bikes are already passing the studio -- customers on the go!
Ah, well... Still have appointments through this week. Maybe I'll do walk-ins all next week if it falls through...
