Loosing your four legged friends
To all that have pets, cherish every moment of unconditional love that they bring to you each day. We have lost 3 of our 4 longtime pets and the sorrow can be overwhelming at times. We were truly blessed though, with a long time with each, "Squeaker" the 1st. was 1 of 2 black cats (Sisters) we brought home in 1992. She made it to the age of 12. "Sheena” our oldest of 2 Black Labs was 2 mo. shy of 14 when we had to put her down in 2005. "Lazer" our 2nd Black Lab was 12 when we put him down on June 15th 07. Which leaves us with "Jasmine" our 2nd black cat, which is 15 yrs. old & still going strong.

Each one of our pets found their place in our hearts and in our daily routines. Not all the times were fun, like the nights with the skunks & other mischievous things that they did, but the irony of it all is that the little things that they did that were aggravating, are the things that you find yourself missing the most, because that is what made them who they were.

It is our hope that all pets do go to heaven and we will see them all again someday. Until that day comes, they will each live on in our hearts and memories fore that is all we have to fill the enormous hole that their passing has left in our lives & our home.

I just read this and I do know how you feel. Last week a vet diagnosed one of my dogs with pyometra and wanted almost $1000 to do the surgery to fix her. I don' t have it but a friend gave me a name of a vet she thought would work with me. Long story short Passion is now doing wonderful after less than a week, A Merry Christmas.
As far as you question about heaven I don't know if you ever read the poem Rainbow Bridge. here is a link, http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm

I couldn't agree more. Pets become so much a part of the family.

What you write is so true. When you lose a pet it's heartbreaking. I can't understand how some people don't care. It's like losing a part of your family because that's exactly what they are.
