Book Review - Urban Baby Runway |
http://www.urbanbabyrunway.com/ubrblog/?p=177
If your toddler is already curious about tattoos but you don’t want them stepping foot into a tattoo shop for at least another 18 years (or never), bring home The Tattoo Colouring Book ($22) to appease their curiosity.
Inside they’ll find 52 unique line drawings depicting traditional tattoo artwork with the artists’ custom twist. These pages are just begging for someone to color outside of their lines.
The Tattoo Colouring book is aimed at all ages, but it may be a bit edgier than any of your child’s current coloring book collection. Your child may find the retro-style anchor fun and the swallows sweet, but you may find yourself needing to explain why the lady has a smoking stick in her mouth or exactly what F.T.W stands for (I recommend coming up with your own version). But is that any worse than a big, purple character brainwashing your kids? Just make sure you know what you are getting, these are printed on demand and are therefore non-returnable.
I do feel some of the designs are a bit intricate for beginners, but who doesn’t love a good challenge? The Tattoo Colouring Book is a good way to introduce the many alternative forms of art while giving you a chance to make your own and keep your kids’ skin ink-free a little longer. |
