i moved to South Korea last year and aside from the severe lack of ink i love it here, so much so that I'm back for a second year. i'd like to apprentice piercing someday just so i can learn the trade. i'm still taking my life day by day and i don't really know what i'll do for the rest of it, but i know i want tattoos and piercings to be a part of it somehow.
pet peeves:
*they're called tattoos, not tatts. if you tell me "i like your tatts", i won't take it as a compliment. i don't know why this bothers me so much, but it does.
*if all your pictures are the same basic webcam shot of you, just wearing less and less clothing, then chances are i don't want to be your friend. i'm here to see ink, not skin.
*improper use of apostrophes. it’s tattoos, not tattoo’s. your tattoo doesn’t own anything. i refuse to go into a shop that has the name of their profession spelled incorrectly on the sign.

| i have 2 on my back that have been lasered once and will eventually be covered by a back-piece that I have been planning for a few years. Most of the rest are on my legs. I have a fantasy 4 elements tattoo wrapped around my left ankle, and the beginning of a leg sleeve on the back of my left leg. my right leg has a cover up inspired by traditional Korean art, a Celtic dragon, and piece by Frank Miller. And I am the proud owner of a completed chest piece done by DeeDee at Requiem Body Art in Spring Hill. It was planned for a few years, and took 7 months to finish, but I absolutely love it. check out my pics and albums if you want to see 'em. |

| I moved to South Korea in June of '08 and have discovered not only a severe lack of ink, but a social bias against it. There are a few shops scattered around, but most of them are flash only (can you imagine?!). Apparently you have to go to Japan to get a decent tattoo around here. So if you know of a good artist or shop anywhere in South Korea, especially Seoul, let me know!! |
