I am deeply impressed by your movie choices. Our tastes in that regard are incredibly similar (probably means we share some form of insanity). In particular, Goodfellas, Casino, Mystic RIver, Moulin Rouge, Lucky Number Sleven, True Romance and Once Upon a Time in America are huge favorites of mine. For example, the scene in True Romance where Dennis Hopper pushes Christopher Walken to kill him is one of my all-time favorite movie scenes ever. That scene has it all: love, passion, violence, drama, comedy, pathos, fear, humor, hope and resignation. It covers almost everything in life in the space of a few minutes. Several of your choices could be classified as "dark" love stories - probably my favorite genre. I also like movies (rare and special) that surprise me in the end. Two more great "dark" love stories: "Match Play" and "The Talented Mr. Ripley". Have you seen "Memento?" Spectacular!
