Yes- I realize this profile is a bit premature.
Hunting for an apprenticeship.
As for now- Im an artist- PERIOD- did the whole college thing only to come out a bit burned out and bitter- but Im better now! I've worked in just about every medium- Paint, sculpture, photo, video, performance- I see art as our connection to the divine, and as artists we have the responsibility to bring that into this plane of existence, not just for ourselves, but for humanity as a whole. Art is God talking- its a medium to convey emotion.
Have always been drawn to tattooing and began to learn over a decade ago- but that fell through due to life shit- finally have decided waiting any longer would be about the same as giving up- and that aint happening!!

| About My Ink: |
On my chest I have a small design I drew and on one arm I have the paw print of my little boy(rottweiller) who passed away- My biggest obstacle to getting any ink has allways been financial- I WANT SOME BIG PIECES!!!
I haven't laid any ink yet-
but-
my own art is influenced by Giger, Dali, Robert Williams, Alex Grey, Joe Coleman, and J.K.Potter.
I know I don't care for "americana" or "traditional" tats, but- I love tribal- it seems like most tattoo artists hate it , and looking at most of whats out there I can't blame them- but with the right amount of planning and passion I think tribal is astounding! I suppose its the spiritual aspect of actual tribal tattooing that turns me on. I forget what I was watching, but there was a great documentary on some tribe, and thier shaman did the groups tattoos. In this case it was a woman. Members didn't pick thier tattoos, rather she brought them out of dreams she specificly had of each person. She said she was giving them the tattoos they were "supposed to have". When tribal is done right, in my opinion anyway, its not so much about the piece as it is about making the person the work of art.
Im also really interested in the concept behind Russian prison, and Maori tattooing
Some of my favorite tattoo artists are- Nick Baxter, Andy Shou, Larry Brogan, Josh Carlton, and Jesse Smith just to name a few. |
