I got my first tattoo last year 2007. I was 24.
I worked in a tattoo studio for 2 weeks helping out organizing an on the spot tattoo competition and was given a free tat job. I wanted to get inked my whole life since I also draw and was art-schooled for awhile but I waited for the right age to get a tat. So I got one (for free) it was 3 tiny cherryblossoms on my left shoulder blade and it didn't hurt.
I thought I could get a bigger one (since i thought I could take the pain) and when I got my second tat (a sacred heart) in the middle of my chest that was when my faith was renewed and I got something to remind me of that day. It was excruciating but I took it anyway. So my artist offered me a free chest piece to compete in this year's competition. I took it and it was such a blessing (the rest of my tats are free!) and what's more exciting is that we won first place.
What can I say... I'm definitely one lucky girl :) |
