Fav Flicks: Pink Floyd The Wall is a must for all to see -House of 1,000 corpses, Devil's Rejects, Saw, and the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre were all pretty cool, but if you like old horror try the original Vampire movie, Nosferatu followed by Shadow of a Vampire. Kill Bill 1 & 2 'cuz chicks with swords rule. The Matrix, Star Wars, Chronicles of Riddick, and at the other end of the specrum is Lilo and Stitch, (i'm not touching you. . .)
Fav TV: Law and Order, original, SVU, and Criminal Intent. Believe it or not, that drama about the polygamists Big Love was pretty cool (something different for a change) The Ovation channel has cool coverage of music, and the latest hot channel is Current TV, made by the people for the people - if you don't actually get the channel, just log on & catch some cool documentaries, and the cartoon about myspace is a riot (is he a friend?)
Vices: vices are for sissies. too much of anything is never enough . . . , just kidding, really, i'm too old for that crap. we all have to grow up sometime.

| This industry rocks! Over 70% of my age bracket is now tattooed. Subculture is now culture, and I have a feeling people are starting to realize that tattooing is not going away. That makes me very lucky, because it keeps my shop busy, and I love my job. As for my interests outside of tattooing, I sing (someday I hope to put Gladys Drip back together), paint, dance, and celebrate life. Family and friends are the most important thing to me, and owning my own business is finally affording me a time freedom that helps to enjoy that aspect of my life. I have met a lot of genuinely nice people, like Bowery Stan, who tattooed at my booth this year at Marked 4 Life. This is his 60th year! Holy shit! |

| I have wanted a tattoo of a dragon since I was 5 years old. I searched for many years for the perfect one. A few years ago, I had the pleasure to work with Rob Figueroa (who is now at Refined in Melbourne). After working with him for a while, I could see he was the man I had been holding out for to do that project (his style is killer, and he's real laid back). I like to get tattooed by people who take their work seriously, and have heart as well as talent. I guess you can say I am a collector, because there are so many great artists out there. All of my tattoos represent my family, friends, spirituality, or nature itself. I seem to be drawn towards the fantasmagorical. Another thing I really dig is celtic. I have a really cool one on my back done by Maj Matthews. As for future ink, I have a hit list. Ms.Deborah, Deana, Telisa Swan, Lisa Schmolt, Lisa Murphy, Wes Diffie, Deano Cook, Sharon Brause, and Judy Parker, Juli Moon, Guy Atchison and,. of course, Lyle Tuttle. (he tattooed one of my musical heroes, Janis Joplin, and if I have to sing for my 'supper', I will) The list is endless, and growing as new talent is always coming up in the biz. I intend to be covered some day, and my plans are certainly more defined than when I started to get inked. (take my advice, and plan carefully, I pieced out my back and only through the grace of god have I figured out a way to bring it all together) |
