My professional career started with me creating T-shirt designs for Life's a Beach (now No Fear) and Vision Street Wear when I was 15 yrs old. It soon escalated to desktop publishing then to digital graphic design. My free time always being spent on observing and appreciating fine art as well as sketching and painting. In 1992 some friends started to ask me to design them tattoos. Although whenever I did this I would be disappointed with the reproductions due to the fact that at the time tattooists were no artists, just flash jockeys. So I took it on as another medium during my stay in Eastern Europe, and excelled quickly. Now Skin Art is my primary medium.
Every piece I do is designed specifically for the client, unless it's a fine art reproduction, then it's chosen specifically for the client. I do not do Flash nor will I reproduce an image intended for a 'tattoo'. I require a consultation appointment (no charge, of course) with the client prior to the start of any project. I very seldom will complete a piece in one sitting although it does happen on occasion. I only allow myself 2 tattooing appointments per day, but if it's big consultation day, I usually can fit in about 4-5 consultations.
As an artist, I am commissioned mainly for projects on skin but I will do other projects if time allows.
I work primarily out of my private studio, but I also have a Walk-In studio where I can allow the opportunity of creating great works of art to my talented proteges. |
