I'm a Metis, Mestizo of Siksikha, Mohawk, Comanche, and European blood. I'm comfortable in both cultures, Indian and non-indian, but I'll always live by my own. If only because it is me...and where I'm from. Even so, I confess to being a metal-head, who enjoys being around many goths, and modern primatives...all very colorful people to say the least.
I began as an artist working with scrimshaw (whaler's art of engraving in whalebone, teeth,etc.)... I've since expanded into other media... dabbling in skin art, just a bit.
Beyond art, I'm a total workout fanatic, power yoga (love the high rep, high intensity stuff best)..chi kung, tai chi, mountain biking,... I just lovvveeee movement.
But what I love most...Being Dad. My daughters have taught me so much about being a better human being... And their interest in learning... have kept it going in me. |
