About Me:
I have been tattooing professionaly for the past 11 years in a number of locations across the country. Beyond tattooing I try to keep my life as simple and drama free as I can. My family is number one over anything else and all of my time outside of work is spent with them. I enjoy being outside and my wife and I spend a lot of time gardening. I enjoy aquaculture very much and have been raising fish for past 10 years.
I am a passionate individual but I keep control of my emotions. I call 'em like I see 'em and I tell it like it is. Life is too short to beat around the bush. I take my art very seriously and very personally. I dislike most people. I tattoo for my own enjoyment and no one elses. I don't agree with the representation that television has created for the general public about tattooing. It is false, incomplete and corporately produced. The people tattooed on the shows are auditioned just like any other cast of a show... they are cast to boost ratings. It is not real, it is television. I tattoo for a living. I tattoo because I love art and I need to feed my family. I am not trying to be famous, I do not want to be on TV, I don't like media exposure. I believe that there are a lot of people being tattooed who shouldn't be. They are simply doing it because it is fashion. It is something that they will eventually regret. I have no respect for these people because they did not take the time to use their own mind. They just followed media direction and in this case they get what they deserve.
About My Ink:
all of my tattoos are different and are created in under different circumstances every time. there is not enough time to explain them all but I can explain some of the componants that help the tattoos become a success. I enjoy tattooing people who have taken the time to understand what they are about to do with their bodies. I enjoy working with people who understand that it is going to be painful but that the ultimate goal must be achieved. I enjoy working with people who are willing to take the time to understand the work that I do rather than bark orders at me to complete their idea. I like to work with people who understand that tattoo artists are indeed artists and not magicians. We cannot pull a drawing out of our asses instantaniously. There is usually thought and care put into the design process. Custom tattoos are not a product of instant gratification. They are a product of patience and persistance. I enjoy working on all kinds of tattoos provided both the client and I can keep an open mind as to how the idea will be approached. I like to be comfortable and happy while I am working and I like to have fun. Once the job stops being fun it is time for me to find something else to do.
